Morgan Abel has been crowned as Miss Indiana USA 2016 at the finals of the state pageant held at The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel. She will now represent Indiana at the Miss USA 2016 pageant. Morgan succeeds Miss Indiana USA 2015 Gretchen Reece.
At the same event, Darrian Arch was titled First runner-up, Brittany Winchester was adjudged Second runner-up, Alexis Ginn was adjudged Third runner-up and Destiny Dever finished as Fourth runner-up. The delegates who made it to the top seven finalists list were Gracie Lyons and Autumn Cole.

25 years old Abel entered the state pageant as Miss North Vernon USA and hopes to win the Miss USA 2016 crown to be able to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. Abel is a registered nurse in the mental health unit of Columbus Regional Hospital. The beauty queen graduated from Indiana University. She aspires for a master’s degree so as to prepare herself to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. The girl works with various social organisations and NGO’s, with a motive of contributing her bit towards her country.

“It took five years for my dream to become a reality. I never once stopped believing in my dream and that everything happens for a reason.”, says Abel. Abel loves racing, snow skiing, knee boarding, exploring and performing on stage.
