The organization of Miss Australia had crowned Courtney Tester as the new Miss Intercontinental Australia 2020/2021 on 15th May 2021 at the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cover Resort, Manor Cir, Hope Island, Queensland, Australia. While Courtney was to represent Australia at Miss Intercontinental 2021, the country did not participate due to the ongoing pandemic situations.
The organization has recently announced Courtney’s appointment as the new Miss Intercontinental Australia 2022 as she will be representing the country at the Miss Intercontinental stage later this year. She will finally head for the international platform after a long-running reign.
Hailing from Perth, Courtney is 25-years-old and is a professional model. She completed her Masters of Primary Education and is involved herself in community and charity work. Courtney’s charity work includes a stationery drive for ‘Give Write’, which provides school supplies to kids in need and donating 23cm of hair to Sustainable Salons to create wigs for adults and children with cancer and alopecia.
Not new to pageantry, she was adjudged as the third runner-up at Miss Galaxy Australia 2016 and has been determined to represent Australia on an international platform for years now. Her journey so far has highlighted her passion for education and the importance of mental health. Tester hopes to continue to promote health, wellbeing, and the importance of self-care, and support charities and organizations that assist the education of our children.
For Courtney, pageants make her heart sing and is definitely her true calling. She believes that beauty pageants provide girls and women with an opportunity to get involved in social events and community work and drive them to fundraise for causes they are passionate about.
Making her dream come true, Courtney will be representing Australia at Miss Intercontinental 2022, the 50th edition of Miss Intercontinental competition. Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obenita of Philippines won the 49th edition of the international pageant and will crown her successor at the end of the finale
