Miss Universe Myanmar 2020, the 8th edition of the national pageant, was held tonight i.e. 30th December 2020 where May Thazin Oo was adjudged as the second runner-up at the national pageant. Therefore, she will now be the official representative of Myanmar at Miss Intercontinental 2020.
May represented Myitkyina at the national pageant. She is 19 years of age and stands 172 cm tall. She is a first year Law Student from Myitkyina University. A confident and determined individual, May gave a strong competition to other ladies at the competition. She also stands strongly for women empowerment and will fight for it as a beauty queen and a lawyer in the future.
Along with her, Thuzar Wint Lwin was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2020. Han Lay, Racheal Htet, Mya San Thidar and Naw Christine were adjudged as the runners-up and will represent Myanmar in the next edition of Miss Grand International, Face of Beauty International, World Beauty Queen and Miss Globe respectively.
Last year, Htet Thiri Zaw Miss Intercontinental Myanmar 2019 represented her country at Miss Intercontinental 2019 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 20. The country is yet to pioneer its win in Miss Intercontinental.
