Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa has added another feather to her accomplished cap. The Filipina beauty won the Best Actress award for her performance in ‘The Housemaid (2021)’ at the Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) in Dubai.
The former beauty queen, who is now an accomplished actress in her country, received the award on November 4 at the Dubai Creek Harbour Marina. Kylie wore a beautiful black gown by Filipino fashion designer Mark Bumgarner at the award show.
Kylie, in her acceptance speech, quoted, “Six years ago, when I won the Miss International title for the Philippines, it was such a joyous moment for me. Today, I feel like winning another crown, and this time for Best Actress. Nothing ever beats the feeling of winning something for your own country because of your own hard work.”
