Miss International 2022, the 60th edition of the international pageant, was held today i.e. 13th December 2022 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan where Jasmin Selberg of Germany became her country’s fourth representative to win the title.
The newly crowned Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg of Germany’s court included –
1st runner-up – Stephany Amado of Cabo Verde
Stephany Amado made history as she was crowned as the first ever Miss Cabo Verde International at the finale of the inaugural edition of the national pageant held on 3rd September 2022 and became the official representative of Cabo Verde at Miss International 2022. Debuting her country’s representation this year, Amado showed immense capability for the crown since the beginning of the competition. She has a strong personality and is very photogenic. She has now become the highest rank holder from her country at the international pageant. Stephany Amado also became the continental queen of Miss International Africa.
2nd runner-up – Tatiana Calmell of Peru
Tatiana Calmell of Peru was a strong favourite for the crown since the beginning of the competition. Miss Peru organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2022 edition on 14th June 2022 where Tatiana Calmell was crowned Miss International Peru 2022 and became the official representative of Peru at Miss International 2022. Tatiana Calmell is the 27-year-old model and actress who was also one of the most experienced contestants in beauty pageants.
Tatiana was in the only season of ‘Peru Next Top Model’ in 2013 and was also part of the cast of the Peruvian soap opera ‘Princesas’. Calmell also wants to bring focus on mental health which she believes is one of the issues that deserves the most attention, especially as a result of the pandemic, which has affected the mood of so many people. Tatiana holds her interests in fashion, beauty, travel, fitness and pets. She is a classy queen, radiates tenderness, excellent stage projection, without a doubt she has the profile for this prestigious contest. At the finale, she also won Best in Evening Gown.
3rd runner-up – Natalia Lopez Cardona of Colombia
The National Beauty Contest Colombia appointed Natalia López Cardona as the official representative of Colombia at Miss International 2022 on 1st May 2022. Representing the sisterhood, Natalia impressed everyone with her hospitable personality. With her tall frame, her stunning beauty and her unique personality, the Colombian beauty emerged as a favourite for the Miss International 2022 crown. Ever since she arrived in Japan, Natalia impressed everyone with her dressing sense and her hospitable attitude. She is an eloquent speaker as well, which gave her an advantage at the competition too.
4th runner-up – Celinee Santos Frias of Dominican Republic
Celinee Santos Frias was crowned Miss International Dominican Republic 2021 at the finale held on 4th September 2021 at Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic where she became the official representative of Dominican Republic at Miss International 2022. Hailing from representing San Francisco de Macoris, 22 years old Celinee stands 180 cm tall and is pursuing her law degree. Not new to pageantry, she represented Duarte at Miss Dominican Republic 2019, where she finished in the Top 6. Later in December 2019, she represented Dominican Republic at Miss Intercontinental 2019 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt and finished in the Top 20. With her experience and her amazing personality, Frias became a very strong contender for the Miss International 2022 crown and eventually ended up as the fourth runner-up.
