Adrianna David crowned as Miss Maryland USA 2017

Adrianna David of Rockville was crowned as the Miss Maryland USA 2017 on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Adrianna will now represent Rockville at Miss USA 2017. The national competition will be held in June of 2017, wherein Deshauna Barber of District of Columbia will pass on her crown to her successor.

22 years Adrianna was born and raised in the Olney/Rockville, Maryland area. Adrianna has attended the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington and was involved in campus ministry, the arts: dance, theatre, and was also a member of the dive team.
 
The beauty queen was also a competitive cheerleader for 13+ years and has won a gold medal with her team, Maryland Twisters F5, at The USASF/IASF Cheerleading World Championship in 2011. Adrianna was also voted American Cheerleader Magazine's 2011 Cheerleader of the Year.
 
 
The delegate is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland as a double-degree in Theatre and Communications. Adrianna loves to spend quality time with her family and friends.
 
Adrianna’s passion is to continue to support charitable causes as MISS MARYLAND USA in the hopes that this platform will bring more awareness to many worthwhile charities both in Maryland and worldwide.
 
The delegate has also been part of grass roots campaign, “Juliana’s Hope”, to help raise funds for The Kidney Project’s work to create a bio-artificial kidney which could help thousands suffering from ESRD. Through this campaign and a couple of other Charities Angels events, Adrianna helped raise over $100,000. 
 
During the reign, Adrianna will be given the tools to personally and professionally enrich others by providing humanitarian efforts to affect positive change, all while developing their personal career goals.
