Showbiz is hard work in itself, and to be targeted by mass audiences definitely does not help. One beauty queen, who recently stepped into showbiz id facing exactly this, but she won’t let it affect her career graph. Miss Multinational 2018 Sophia Senoron has become the target of many aggrieved fans since he details about the casting of her first movie, Walwal came out.

The beauty queen has been paired up against popular actor Elmo Magalona. The movie Walwal stars Elmo Magalona, Kiko Estrada, Jerome Ponce, Donny Pangilinan, Kisses Delavin, Devon Seron, Jane de Leon, and Miss Multinational 2018 Sophia Senoron.

It is the first movie of Elmo Magalona without current screen partner Janella Salvador. The actress, on the other hand, is promoting an upcoming film titled, “So Connected” which pairs her with Hashtag member Jameson Blake.

Problems arose when fans of the couple Elmo-Janella started bashing Sophia, solely because the lady had been paired up with Elmo for the on-screen romance. The Elmo-Janella fans were furious by the decision, and started bashing the beauty queen online. 

The beauty queen said, however, that she understood where Elmo-Janella's fans are coming from.

She also added that showbiz "is a career that needs professionalism."

"Ang dami [nang nangba-bash]," Sophia told a section of the media. "Pero me and Elmo understand naman na it would happen considering na they are really together," she added

(But me and Elmo understand that it will happen considering that they are really together.)

"First movie ko ito, so 'hindi yung unang inisip ko, landi agad. Gusto ko talaga mag-work. I respect Elmo. I respect the relationship so much. Kitang kita naman kung gaano ka-invested si Elmo in the relationship," she added.

(This is my first movie, so I did not think of throwing away the opportunity. I really like to work. I respect Elmo. I respect the relationship so much. I do not know how much invested Elmo is in the relationship.)

When asked if she had just confirmed the Elmo-Janella relationship, she replied: "It's not my place to say anything about the relationship since I am not part of the [relationship]."

Before the release, the movie Walwal has already created a lot of buzz for all kinds of reasons. Produced by Regal Films, it hit cinemas nationwide on June 27.
