The Miss Mundo Nicaragua organization hosted the coronation ceremony for the 2022 edition of the national finale on 2nd July 2022 at the Holiday Inn, Managua, where 12 stunning beauties competed for the coveted title and the opportunity to represent Nicaragua at Miss World 2022. At the end of the event, Daniela De Smet Contreras was crowned Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2022.

The new beauty queen is born and raised in Estelí, comes from a multicultural family, Belgian father and Colombian mother, studied business management with an emphasis on business creation, speaks several languages ??and is committed to her ‘Guardians of the Planet’ project, with which it promotes reforestation and nature preservation campaigns.

After being crowned, the diva took to her social media to share, “The discipline, the love of so many people and the purpose of God were fundamental in this achievement. It was teamwork, many people whom I thank every day, were behind each result. I carry this title with deep love, willing to work whatever is necessary so that our country feels represented in each action. This is just the beginning, a long day full of passion and commitment awaits us.”

She succeeds Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2021 Sheynnis Alondra Palacios Cornejo for the title, who represented the country at Miss World 2021 and finished among the Top 40 finalists. Daniela will represent Nicaragua at Miss World 2022, 71st edition of the Miss World pageant, scheduled to be held later this year.
