Miss Nepal Organization under The Hidden Treasure (THT) held its Press Meet at Hotel Annapurna, Durbar Marg on Monday where key points for the 2020 edition were discussed. The organization announced that the auditions were going live for the potential beauties to make an impact at the international level this year.

The Press Meet saw everyone in attendance; Miss Nepal World 2019 Anushka Shrestha, Miss Nepal Supranational 2019 Rose Lama, Miss Nepal International 2019 Meera Kakshapati, Miss Nepal Universe 2019 Pradeepta Adhikari Miss Nepal Earth 2019 Riya Basnet and Mr. Diwakar Raj Rajkarnikar, Chairman (The Hidden Treasure), Mr. Subarna Chhetri, Director (The Hidden Treasure), Mr. Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshapati, Director (The Hidden Treasure), Mr. Girendra Man Rajbansi, Director (The Hidden Treasure), Mr. Suresh B. Malla, Director (The Hidden Treasure), Mr. Rupesh Pradhan, Director (The Hidden Treasure), Mr. Pramod Ratna Kansakar, Director (The Hidden Treasure), Ms Rasana Dangol from Livon, Mr. Vikram Paudel from Yamaha directly talked to the media about the changes.

An unfortunate news that was also announced was that Nepal might not be participating in Miss Universe 2020 after three years of consecutive representation under Miss Nepal. Officials from Miss Universe pageant have not renewed THT’s contract, so Nepal could not compete in Miss Universe under their organization. The contract renewal was also not possible at this time and thus this decision came to light. However, if another organization will take over the franchise and is allowed to send a representative this year is still unknown.

Meanwhile, the official applications were announced open and deadline for submission of the form was announced to be 27th March 2020. The grand finale is also scheduled to be held on 15th May 2020 at Hotel Annapurna, Durbar Marg.
