Miss Nepal 2020, the 26th edition of the national pageant, will begin the national journey soon as the contestants will be selected to compete in the pageant and the representatives to Miss Universe 2020, Miss World 2020, Miss Earth 2020, Miss International 2020 and Miss Supranational 2020 will be crowned.
While the contestants are yet to be unveiled for the national contest, we have prepared our wishlist of the Nepali beauties who we think can win the contest and represent Nepali with utmost sincerity and dedication at the international platform. Sahara Basnet, an amalgamation of demure and dauntless personality, has made it to our wish list for Miss Nepal 2020.
Sahara’s life took a turn as she was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International Nepal 2017 at the finale of Miss Nepal 2017. Sahara had a childhood dream of making a mark in the pageantry and she did it as she represented Nepal at Miss Asia Pacific International 2017. Sahara, academically, has graduated in business management from Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) and will earn an advanced degree in business in the future.
Sahara is a popular gaming girl and was known amongst her friends at Miss Nepal 2017 by the same title. She also has won a silver medal in counter strike. The Nepali beauty is also fond of playing football and basketball to any other games. She often follows football matches of her favorite players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil, and her favorite club Arsenal. Having played several matches as a goalkeeper in college tournaments, she was also one of the players of her basketball team called ‘neon girls’.
Not just a pretty face, Sahara also loves to do things that make her think and let her run her imagination wild during her free time. She likes watching action and psycho thriller series and movies. Sahara, like her parents, admires adopting animals and currently owns two dogs, Lucky and Oreo as her pets.
Sahara can also pull off her style without a stitch of make-up. A stroke of eye liner teamed with a funky coloured top was her definition to being girlish before. However, her make-up style had a massive transformation after her participation as a contestant in Miss Nepal 2017. In our opinion, Sahara is definitely an ideal choice for Miss Universe Nepal 2020 title.
