Miss World Nepal 2019 Anushka Shrestha was recently invited to be a part of the Kantipur Conclave as a guest speaker by the Kantipur Media Group for a session called ‘Connecting Global Nepalis’. The Kantipur Media Group (KMG) is Nepal’s leading media conglomerate, disseminating its content to millions of people across the country and abroad.

Kantipur Media Group (KMG) organized its second edition of Kantipur Conclave under the theme ‘Reimagining Connectivity’. KMG broadcasted the conclave’s proceedings through its various media platforms to millions across the globe. The Kantipur Conclave is a two-day event aimed at engaging the participants through constructive discourses as well as interaction with experts at an individual level. The stunning beauty went on as a guest speaker at the event and was grateful for the opportunity she got. She also took this to her official page by quoting, “It was an honor being part of the panel "Connecting Global Nepalis" at the Kantipur Conclave. As someone who has spent almost 5 years of my life as abroad, and considering the current situation of our country with more and more people migrating abroad both temporarily and permanently every year, I feel passionately about staying connected to Nepal. In this era of connectivity and internet, seeking innovative ways to reinvest resources including skills and investment back to Nepal is paramount.  I see a different trend now though amongst migrants - Nepal ma kaam chaina (translating to there is no hope in Nepal) is something you hear rather less these days. Every person, family migrating intends to contribute back to Nepal either by returning or reinvesting virtually, and with this positive attitude Nepalese all over the world are surely set to work collectively for Nepal ???? Thankyou to my co-panelists, our moderator organizers and audience for this fantastic opportunity for me to share my learnings and experiences!”
