Miss Nepal 2020 held its coronation night today i.e. 5th December 2020 where Namrata Shrestha was crowned Miss World Nepal 2020 and became the official representative of her country at Miss World 2020. She succeeds Miss World Nepal 2019 Anushka Shrestha for the crown.
Namrata Shrestha performed with absolute sincerity and dedication at the national contest. This was her second try at the national competition as she participated in Miss Nepal 2016 as well. She was pageant ready since the beginning of the competition and if she continues to outshine, she will be a strong contender at an international level as well.
With the beginning of the finale, twelve contestants made the first cut which included Arnica Rajbhandari, Sija Chaulagain, Sanjana Panta, Riya Shrestha, Ayesha Shrestha, Merisa Suwal, Shimal Kanaujiya, Supriya Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha, Sandhya Sharma, Pragati Shrestha and Astika Shrestha.
From the twelve stunning ladies, six made it to the top as the Top 6 included Ayesha Shrestha, Merisa Suwal, Shimal Kanaujiya, Supriya Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha and Sandhya Sharma.
Along with Namrata, Shimal Kanaujiya was crowned Miss Supranational Nepal 2020, Sandhya Sharma was crowned Miss International Nepal 2020 while Supriya Shrestha was crowned Miss Earth Nepal 2020 as the winners will represent Nepal at the next edition of Miss Supranational, Miss International and Miss Earth respectively.
