The 69th edition of Miss New Mexico USA was held on 5th June 2022 at New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, Las Cruces, New Mexico where Suzanne Perez was crowned Miss New Mexico USA 2022. Suzanne succeeds and was crowned by Miss New Mexico USA 2021 Christa Schafer.
Suzanne Perez is a Filipina-American diva who bested 23 other contestants to win the state crown. On being crowned Suzanne took to her official social media as she wrote, “I am going to Miss USA! Never in a million years did I think I would EVER be saying that. God knew the desires of my heart and allowed my dream to come true. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. The tears have not stopped! I am so honored to be able to represent the Land of Enchantment! I can’t wait to make the most of my reign as your new Miss New Mexico USA.”
1st runner-up – Elizabeth Medina
2nd runner-up – Francesca Covino
3rd runner-up – Bianca Wright
4th runner-up – Elizabeth Nelson
Top 16 also included Abigail Hill, Baylee Robinson, Brooke Ayala, Janelle Garciduenas, Jacqueline Pina, Kelsey Prince, Mackenzie Sydow, Margeaux Greene, Renay Baca, Sapphire Persinger and Sophia Maloney.
Also at the finale, Caroline Babcock was crowned Miss New Mexico Teen USA 2022 as she became the official representative of New Mexico at Miss Teen USA 2022.
Miss New Mexico USA 2021 Christa Schafer competed at Miss USA 2021 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 16. Congratulations to the newly crowned queens.
