The Miss Denmark organization had crowned Johanne Grundt Hansen as Miss Denmark 2021 on 29th November 2021 at Odd Fellow Palace as she succeeded Miss Denmark 2019 Katja Stokholm for the national title. The diva has now been designated to represent Denmark at Miss Supranational 2022.

Hailing from Fensmark on Zealand, 20 years old Johanne enrolled as a student this summer and is now on sabbatical, working as a waitress at a Korean restaurant. She is also a model for the agency BasicCPH and a Karate instructor. Johanne has been doing Karate for almost 12 years and received her black belt in the summer of 2019. She hopes to learn Chinese after her sabbatical year is through, as she was enthralled by the language in high school.

Johanne characterises herself as upbeat, kind, and always looking for the good in others. She is a purposeful and honest person, which is one of the qualities she loves strongly in herself. She hopes to make a difference in the environmental field, particularly in the maritime environment, in the future. She is also an ambassador for Plastic Change, a Danish environmental NGO fighting against plastic pollution in the ocean.

For Hansen, Beauty is to be able to rest in oneself, and trust that one is good enough as one is. In addition, she thinks that beauty means being naturally beautiful and sincere, but also being good and aware of the people you have around you.

Denmark will return to the Miss Supranational stage after a gap of two editions as it was last represented by Celina Riel at Miss Supranational 2018, where she finished among the Top 25 finalists. This year, Johanne Hansen will represent the country at the 13th edition of the international pageant all set to return to the city of Nowy Sacz in the Malopolska region this June and July.
