The Miss Norway organization hosted the coronation of Miss Universe Norway 2021 on 14th August 2021 at the Åpen Scene in Oslo, Norway, where Trondheim’s Nora Emilie Nakken was crowned as the new queen. She competed against 15 other finalists to win the crown and an opportunity to represent Norway at Miss Universe 2021. Nora succeeded Miss Universe Norway 2020 Sunniva Frigstad for the title.

Hailing from Trondheim Fjord, Nora is 23 years-old and stands 172 cm tall. She is a mental health advocate, model and beauty queen. After graduating from Charlottenlund Videregående Skole in Trondheim, she studied marketing management at Handelshøyskolen BI in Trondheim from 2017 to 2020.

On a daily basis, she studies entrepreneurship and media studies to acquire extra professional competence. In addition to having completed a bachelor's degree in marketing management with a specialization in business development. Nora loves and involves people in positive marketing activities. Nora is definitely not new to pageantry as she represented Norway at Miss Earth 2020 but was unplaced. She was also a finalist at Miss Norway 2016.

Miss Universe Norway 2021 Nora Emilie Nakken’s court includes:

First runner-up: Angelika Catharina D. Kristiansen

Second runner-up: Amine Storrød

Third runner-up: Julie Dahlen Børresen

Fourth runner-up: Stephany Gabriela Crespo La Rosa

Nora uses the voice that the Miss Norway title gives in the fight to remove taboos about mental health and mental problems. In a recent interview she shared, “For me, the biggest difference between modeling and beauty pageants is the opportunity to raise your voice and speak about topics that is important for you. I believe everyone has that one thing that really means a lot for them and things they want to do to make the society a better place. The opportunity you get through pageantry is so meaningful and a big opportunity to speak about your advocacy. As Miss Universe Norway 2021, my focus will be to destigmatize mental health issues and highlight the importance of being open about personal struggles.”

After winning the national title, the diva also took to her social media to express her feelings as she wrote, “I can’t believe it!!! Thank you so much for all the support during the journey through Miss Universe Norway 2021! Thank you so much to all my sponsors, my family, the Miss Norway organization, and everyone who has been with me through this journey! Nothing oh this would be possible without all of you!! Words can’t describe this!! MISS UNIVERSE NEXT!”

Congratulations queen!
