While few nations have already selected their delegates for the coming year, Slovakia is on its way to find the successor of Lujza Straková, Miss World Slovakia 2016. The grand finale of the pageant will take place on April 29’ 2016 and will broadcast at TV JOJ. The three winners will represent Slovak Republic at Miss World, Miss International and Miss Supranational.

Carolina Chomisteková who is one of the most esteemed Miss Slovakia, being the National Director of the pageant is geared up to bring the nation on pageant map. Miss Slovensko 2016 will also hold a strong undercurrent charity project as an integral part of the pageant. The funds raised during the competition will be donated to charity project, ‘Heart for Children’.

CK Hydrotour will prepare the shortlisted finalists for the fashion editorials in the collaboration with the photographers of LSZ Photography. Chateau Földvári will be the temporary home of the shortlisted finalists. The Miss Slovensko team comprises of Pierrot hairdressers, make-up artists from Copenhagen Gosh, choreographer Peter Varady and many others.

The winners of the pageant will obtain the remunerated contract from Forza Production House, a stylish Hyundai Tucson, and an abode on the Danube from Smart Brokers for one year and many more exciting prizes.

Castings for Miss Slovakia 2016 started on January 13, 2016. The succeeding castings will be held in four towns. The castings in the Žilina and Košice city have already been concluded and the castings for Banská Bystrica and Bratislava are slated to take place on 15’ January 2016 and 16’ January 2016.

Around 300 girls have applied for the pageant, out of which 27 were chosen directly to the semi-final round wherein Top 100 contestants will be competing with each other. In the coming auditions, additional 400 girls are expected to join in the pageant making a nerve wrecking fight amongst 700 crown contenders altogether.The casting jury will choose 100 girls who will then advance to the semi-final Top 100 on the 24’ January 2016. Thereafter, the delegates will be trimmed down to Top 15 and then a final Top 12.

Karolína Chomisteková is the last delegate from the nation to make her spot secure in the quarter finals of Miss World 2013, while Michaela Strahlová is the last delegate from the country to enter Top 15 semi-finalist spot at Miss International 2000. Last year, Petra Denková claimed the highest placement for Slovak Republic at Miss Supranational 2015 by securing her spot as one of the Top 20 finalists along with winning the title of Queen of Europe. The casting criterion is extremely interesting and is bound to bring Slovak Republic on the path of pageant.
