It’s been few days since Deshauna was crowned Miss USA 2016, and the beauty queen has already started her official media tour. The beauty queen is making her media rounds with various talk shows and interviews.

On June 7’ 2016 morning Deshauna made an appearance on LIVE! With Kelly. Barber was all smiles and happy as she made her appearance at the show. She shared her feeling about winning the Miss USA 2016 pageant and other tidbits to her success. The beauty queen recalled her incredible win and couldn’t stop but smile about it.

Even through the interviews, her poise and grace was visible in her postures and personality. “It was awesome that I made it this far, I won! I was thinking how surreal [it was], I was just so happy to touch the crown on my head and have the sash going across my chest. I couldn’t have been any happier.”, shared Deshauna.

Deshauna has officially moved to New York City and is now roommates with the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach. Barber became the first military officer to have won the Miss USA title. But the fact that Barber comes from a military background didn’t stop the racists who objected and expressed their dissatisfaction to her win because of her skin colour. The social media was jammed with hate messages and tweets about Deshauna.
