Miss USA 2018 is slated to take place on 26th May 2018 where 51 candidates will fight for the national title to succeed Miss USA 2017 Kara McCullough.
But before that, as a celebration of Women’s History Month, the candidates of Miss USA 2018 talk about women empowerment and answer the question of the change they want to see for women in today’s world.
Miss Hawaii USA 2018 Julianne Chu talked about changes she would like to see within the Leadership roles for women while Miss Washington USA 2018 Abigail Hill answered, “We need to continue to improve the plight of women in societies that don’t necessarily have a voice.”
Miss Alaska USA 2018 Brooke Johnson presented her view on the question by talking about the need to focus on representation in roles of power and authority in multiple industries.
Miss Wisconsin USA 2018 Regina Grey and Miss New Jersey 2017 Alexa Noone talked about the provision of security for women so that they can live their lives boldly without fear while Miss North Dakota USA 2018 Abigail Pogatshnik emphasized the importance of creating a society where they feel confident about who they are without the need to prove anything to anyone.

Miss Rhode Island USA 2018 Daescia Demoranville mentioned one of the most basic rights which are denied to half the percentage of women population all over the world – Right to Education. While in America women are fortunate enough to have that as a fundamental right, the other countries are not so fortunate.
Miss Kansas USA 2018 Melanie Shaner put some light on another grave issue women face all over the world which is domestic violence. She shared the statistics where every 1 in 4 women face this issue. She talked about the need to provide a safer world to women.
Miss Utah USA 2018 Narine Ishhanov emphasized on the need of women to realize that they are stronger than they think they are who can achieve anything they want to.
