The 23-year-old Sarah Rose Summers was crowned Miss Nebraska USA 2018 on 7th January 2018. But, she wrote history as she became the first ever contestant from Nebraska, to win the Miss USA pageant. Sarah won her crown of Miss USA 2018 when Miss USA 2018 held its 67th edition on 21st May 2018 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. She succeeded Miss USA 2017 Kara McCullough and will represent USA at the upcoming Miss Universe 2018 pageant.
Summers is a 23-year-old graduate from Texas Christian University, where she earned two degrees with a cum laude distinction: a Bachelor of Science in strategic communication with a business minor, and a Bachelor of Science in child development.

After graduating, Summers went on to become a certified child life specialist. “I was in the children’s hospital in Omaha when I was 5 years old. I don’t remember a whole lot of it, but I remember my parents being really scared and I had never seen my dad scared before. My nurse was amazing, and she really is who I strive to be like. I’m now a certified child life specialist, which is the liaison between the children and families and the medical team. It’s just so empowering helping the patients understand their diagnosis, understand different procedures and support them through those as well,” she disclosed at the Miss USA 2018 finale stage.
Sarah is often seen with the a man, frequenting night clubs. This man is none other than Summers’ boyfriend, and East Texas Baptist University alum, Conner Combs. According to Sarah’s social media posts, she also came very close to Miss USA 2018 runner-up Miss North Carolina Caelynn Miller-Keyes. The two have been inseperable since the pageant.
Sarah was constantly in touch with the former Miss USAs and Pageantology Co-Founders, Susie and Shandi, during her training for the Miss USA 2018 pageant. the duo also mentored of the newly crowned Miss Teen USA 2018, Hailey Colborn. That makes one wonder if this is the new dream team of mentors in the USA pageantry scene.

This was also not Summers’ first time at a pageant. She was crowned Miss Nebraska Teen USA in 2012 and also won the National American Miss Junior Teen 2010 competition.
Her background and supporters make Sarah Rose Summers seem like a very strong candidate for the Miss Universe 2018 crown. Will she be the one to succeed Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters?
