Miss USA 2018 held its 67th edition on 21st May 2018 at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana. At the beginning of the grand finale, the Top 15 delegates were announced who moved forward in the competition to compete for the national title.
Miss USA 2017 Kara McCullough was also present at the finale and crowned her successor Miss Nebraska USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers at the end of the event finale. Sarah will now represent USA at the upcoming Miss Universe 2018.
The 23-year-old Sarah Rose Summers was crowned Miss Nebraska USA 2018 on 7th January 2018. Sarah is a native of Omaha city, standing 170 cm tall. She has studied Child Development at Texas Christian and has worked in the Promotions Team at Dallas Cowboys. Sarah is indeed beauty with intellect as she is currently working as a Child Life Intern at The Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center. Sarah is not new to the world of pageantry as she was also Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2012.

At the grand finale, after the announcement of Top 15, the swimsuit round was held after which the Top 10 contestants were announced. Miss South Dakota USA 2018 Madison Nipe was voted by the public into Top 15 and managed to stay at her position in Top 10 as well.
The top 5 were announced and top 3 were announced as the competition became more and more intense. As Kara McCullough took her last walk as Miss USA, the results were announced –

Vanessa and Nick Lachey were the hosts of the grand evening while Carson Kressley and Lu Sierra served as commentators. Additionally, it featured performances by 98 Degrees and Lee Brice.
