The 65th edition of Miss Universe pageant is on the verge of conclusion and the journey has been an amazing one to remember. In just two days, Pia Wurtzbach will pass on her crown to her successor and one of the 86 contestants will be the next Miss Universe. This edition has come up with few changes that will be amended during the finale, and a glimpse of which was visible during the Preliminary Competition.

Talking about the new format, Queen P said that she prefers the new way more and the beauty loved the way the Preliminary Competition was staged as compared to the previous year. Pia Wurtzbach was the co-host for the night along with actor Derek Ramsey at Mall of Asia Arena.

Pia Wurtzbach said, “The flow of the competition is faster here. For the past Miss Universe preliminaries, the girls go out on stage, one by one. This time, they come out three at a time so it's much quicker.” According to Pia, instead of calling one contestants at a time, this year there were three contestants on stage together, which gives the audience more elements to look at.

"I also like the tidbits of information we said about the girls while they were walking. I really like the way it was done this year . . . The people who bought tickets to the arena got their money's worth," Wurtzbach added.

Pia was also seen interacting with the contestants as she told them that they were lucky to be competing in the Philippines. The reigning queen said that when she was in Vegas competing for Miss Universe 2015, they just stayed in Vegas. She added, “Here you're competing in Manila but you get to go around the Philippines. When you go back home, you can really say, 'Hey, I've been around the Philippines.”

Pia Wurtzbach is the third Filipina to have won the Miss Universe crown. The beauty queen assured fans that they will witness a world class show at the finals this year. SO, who do you think will win the coveted title this year?
