The newly crowned Miss Universe iris Mittenaere is in New York and the beauty has already started documenting her journey as the reigning queen. Being a Miss Universe is not easy, and the first and foremost important duty that the queen has to follow is media tour.

The beauty queen made her first appearance on and American TV set as Miss Universe 2016 recently on the show "Live with Kelly". On Monday, Iris appeared on the stage of "Live with Kelly", hosted by Kelly Ripa and singer Rita Ora, who currently co-presents 'program. Iris greeted the audience with a French twist and also gave them a pronunciation class on how to pronounce her surname. She said that her shoes were very high and it was the first time she wore such high heels, so it was difficult for her. Especially when she saw the other girls dancing in their heels she told herself, "I must not fall, I must not fall."

Iris has moved to her New York apartment and will be staying their throughout her reign. The beauty queen talked about her new life in New York and said that it’s just her fourth day here and she is already in love with the place and its people. She also showcased her desire to explore around. “I want to see the Statue of Liberty, I have never seen it before."

24 year old Iris wants to continue her awareness campaign for dental and oral hygiene, taking her campaign around the globe. She also wants to advocate for access to education and children's rights. Iris said, "I want to do a lot of things for my charity and for a lot of charities. I think Pia showed us that this sash is not only a sash. This is something to help people, to understand people and I want to understand people. I want to meet people all around the world."
