Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh visits Ecuador for Social Cause

Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters flew off to Ecuador on 8th June 2018 to fulfill a list of activities in three cities of Guayaquil, Machala and Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas organized by the Miss Ecuador Organization.

As she landed on 8th June 2018 in Guayaquil, she met with the people affected by natural disasters at an event at the Guayas Red Cross. She thanked everyone who organized the event and invited her to the great cause.

The next day she presided over the event of the proclamation for the 194 years of cantonization of Machala (El Oro). Along with Miss Ecuador 2018 Virginia Limongi, Demi participated in a parade of floats. Also present at the event were Miss Ecuador International 2018 Michelle Huet and Miss Grand International Ecuador 2018 Norma Tejada.

Carlos Falquez Aguilar, the mayor of Machala also organized a lunch in a shrimp farm where Virginia Limongi and Demi-Leigh had a gala time. Demi was also a guest of honor in the charity parade that took place in the Juan Montalvo Central Park of the Bananera Capital.

On 12th June 2018, Demi-Leigh visited Santo Domingo de Los Tsáchilas where she visited the community of the 'Colorados' and was crowned as the honorary queen of the Tsáchilas. She was received by the mayor, Víctor Quirola, enjoying another great visit along with her Ecuador beauty queen.

Virginia Limongi and Demi Leigh took to their social media and talked about their experience together. Seems like the beauty queens hit it off quite well and enjoyed each other’s company!
