The reigning Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters arrived in Philippines on 5th December 2017 along with some other Miss Universe 2017 contestants and Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere. Since then she is being treated royally by the Filipinos.
One her day 1 of the tour, she was thrown a grand welcome dinner party at the Eclipse Bar of Solaire Resort and Casino where Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach of Philippines also joined her and the contestants. This event was organized in the presence of selected guests and media.
This was also an occasion to celebrate the birthday of Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart. The girls sang the birthday song for Paula and also made her cut a chocolate cake.
Before the dinner party, the contestants were also spotted leading a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal monument in Manila and also holding a press conference, held at the Dusit Thani Hotel.
It was a delight for the fans to see all the 3-years queens together. They all looked spectacular in their lovely outfits at the dinner party. While Iris wore a red dress, Pia and Demi-Leigh were in black and white respectively.
They are scheduled to be in Philippines for 3 more days. Here they will be part of a trip to selected provinces on 8th December, and a gala charity fashion show night to be held at the Sofitel Manila on 9th December.
