Miss Argentina Tv organization, the official franchise holder of Miss Universe Argentina, announced the appointment of Bárbara Cabrera as the new Miss Universe Argentina 2022. Bárbara Cabrera will now represent Argentina at Miss Universe 2022.

Bárbara Cabrera is 26 years of age and a textile entrepreneur and model from Buenos Aires. Not a stranger to pageantry, Bárbara was named Miss Eco Argentina 2020 and went on to compete in Miss Eco International 2021 in Egypt where she placed in the Top 20 and bagged the Best in Evening Gown award. Cabrera will surely be a strong contender for the international crown as she will compete at Miss Universe in New Orleans, USA.

On winning Miss Universe Argentina 2022 crown, Bárbara Cabrera took to her official social media as she wrote, “My heart explodes with happiness to be able to officially tell you that I will proudly represent Argentina at Miss Universe 2022! Those who know me know that it was always my big dream. Today thanks to a lot of work and the team that accompanies me, I am fulfilling it! I invite you to join me in my activities until my participation in New Orleans on January 14.”

Barbara Cabrera succeeds Miss Universe Argentina 2021 Julieta García who competed at Miss Universe 2021 but remained unplaced. Argentina has won Miss Universe once with Norma Beatriz Nolan in 1962. Its last placement was in 2020 with Alina Luz Akselrad who finished in the Top 21.
