Miss Universe Australia 2020 held its coronation today at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, Melbourne at 7pm AEST where Maria Thattil from Victoria was crowed the new queen and became the official representative of Australia at Miss Universe 2020. Maria succeeds Miss Universe Australia 2019 Priya Serrao.

Maria Thattil was a front-runner and our favourite for the crown ever since the beginning of the competition. Maria Thattil is an Indian Australian beauty expert, fashion blogger and digital influencer. The stunning beauty is an advocate of fierce self-love inclusivity & empowerment. At the finale as well, Maria’s answers showed confidence, fluency and her staunch belief that she could be an ideal contender. She was a part of our favourites for the crown as well.

Miss Universe Australia 2020 Maria Thattil’s court includes –

1st Runner-up – Mine Coetser from Queensland

2nd Runner-up – Tash Galgut from NSW

3rd Runner-up – Maddison Coluccio from NSW

4th Runner-up – Daria Varlamova from Victoria

The finale began with all the contestants showing their glimpses in swimwears and evening gowns promoting their sponsors. Tash Galgut took home the award from one of the sponsors as she became the Rusty Ambassador.

The Top 10 included Mine Coetser from Queensland, Brooke Mcauley from Victoria, Tash Galgut from NSW, Mimi Bulkoch from Victoria, Kya Pedric from WA, Jacqueline Scheiwe from Queensland, Maria Thattil from Victoria, Emily Tokic from NSW, Daria Varlamova from Victoria, Maddison Coluccio from NSW and from here five beauties advanced to the last round of the competition and the winners were chosen.

A few special awards were also presented to the beauties at the finale - - Mine Coetser from Queensland won the Social Ambassador award, Maria Thattil from Victoria won the Miss Congeniality award and Maddison Coluccio from New South Wales won Toybox Ambassador.
