Who will be the wildcard winners at Miss Universe Australia 2020?

Miss Universe Australia 2020 is all set to host its coronation in June this year at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins, Melbourne, Victoria. The contestants from all over Australia will vie for the national crown and the opportunity to represent the country at the prestigious stage of Miss Universe 2020. Miss Universe Australia 2019 Priya Serrao of Victoria will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Twenty-five wild card entries have been announced by the Miss Universe Australia Organization who will be competing for the remaining two spots at Miss Universe Australia 2020 pageant. While all these ladies are competent and beautiful, we have picked out our favourites for the remaining two spots –

Annalise Magee

Annalise Magee is 19 years of age and is a F45 trainer and Group fitness instructor. She is currently studying a Bachelor of health and physical education. Annalise is passionate about teaching and fitness instructing because she gets to uplift, motivate and see people’s progress. “I am someone who loves to be active all the time. I was that kid that did every sport from basketball, cheerleading, aerobics, tennis, netball and many more. My biggest accomplishment was competing nationally for the past 4 years in sport aerobics”, she describes herself.

Crystel Bandal

Crystel Bandal is 19 years of age and works as a model and TV host. She has a deep passion to advocate for mental health. “With amazing support I’ve been able to overcome many challenges and I want to be able to inspire and pass on the same to more women”, she says. Crystel also describes herself as a curious person and loves to explore new things. She loves to live in the moment to the fullest and tries to keep an open heart.

Georgie Bowyer

The 20-year-old Georgie Bowyer is a fashion designer by profession. Growing up in a small country town called Walgett, Georgie now resides in Sydney and has studied personal training, on screen acting and fashion business. She is currently working on her own business, an activewear and streetwear label to help raise awareness for mental health and in particular anxiety. “I hope to inspire and motivate woman around the world to become the best version of themselves”, she says.

Jayde Wright

Jayde Wright is 22 years of age and works as a PR Executive, Model, Emcee and content creator. Jayde is a Public Relations and Journalism graduate who has worked on large scale events for Malala Yousafzai and Hillary Clinton. She is very passionate about women empowerment, children’s rights and anti-bullying. “My proudest achievement to date would be when I organised my own mission trips to the Philippines to donate educational resources to schools and orphanages”, she states. A caring, ambitious and positive person, Jayde is a strong contender for the crown.

Mimi Bulkoch

Mimi Bulkoch is 26-year-old Software account manager and has an inspiring story to tell. Born in a war zone in South Sudan, Mimi spent her formative years in a refugee camp in Kenya, and eventually settled in Melbourne with her family. She is in her final year of a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Management and has completed two international internships in Kuala Lumpur and Budapest respectively. Because of this, Mimi is fiercely passionate about women and refugee rights. In her free time, she reads poetry, running along the beach, or mentoring young girls.

Scarlett Zumbo

Scarlett Zumbo is 20 years of age who grew up on the northern beaches of Sydney. A half-Italian, half-Australian, Scarlett one day hopes to become an actress. Scarlett is an advocate of being comfortable in her own skin and embracing who you are. “My friends and family are extremely important to me and keep me grounded. I strive to live organically and am a great exponent of clean environmental living. I believe in always striving towards your goals and what resonates with in you and your personal drive”, she states.

Shania Lopez

Shania Lopez is a 20-year-old law student and model who currently resides in Brisbane. She is about to graduate with a Justice and Law degree at QUT. Shania has a deep passion for helping children and women who have been born into a life of disadvantage and being a voice for the voiceless. Her reason for joining Miss Universe Australia 2020, she states, “Ultimately, my desire to be a role model and my passion for humanitarian aid led me to signing up to the MUA program 2020.”

Tiarna Herbert

Tiarna Herbert is 19 years of age and works as a Marketing Assistant. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Primary Education in Brisbane. Her dream is to make a positive difference in the lives of children, especially those from disadvantaged communities. She is also a strong for equality and inclusiveness in all aspects of life. “On a personal level, I believe that no act of kindness, big or small, is ever wasted. I live by the philosophy in a world where you can be anything, be kind”, she quotes.
