Miss Universe Bahrain 2022 Evlin Khalifa, through the official social media, presented the official national costume titled ‘Al-dahr  which she will showcase at the National Costume Competition of Miss Universe 2022.

Evlin Khalifa’s national costume represents the Golden celebration of the establishment of Bahrain as a nation. Bahrain is the smallest country in the middle east but among the richest countries in the world based on GDP per capital, with a GDP per capita of $29,146.

Evlin took to her official social media as she wrote, “Gold is probably one of the most desired and most precious elements in this world. However, aside from its glam and glitter, GOLD is the perfect paragon that through hardships, challenges and trials in life - we can always become better, bigger and brighter - because the hotter the fire is - the purer the gold is.”

“Bahrain has second-highest millionaire density in the world. About 123 out of 1,000 households in this country are millionaires, the second highest in the world. Bahrain is considered as one of the top importers and exporters of gold in the world. With its wealth and economic stability, Bahrain remains humble yet progressive. The National Costume symbolizes the characters of Bahraini people — Strong, Powerful and Precious – Forever”, she added.

Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, is scheduled to be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
