Mia Pojatina crowned Miss Universe Croatia 2018

21st April saw the coronation night of one of the most prestigious Croatian beauty pageants, Miss Universe Croatia. Miss Universe Croatia 2017 Shanaelle Petty crowned her successor, Mia Pojatina of Nova Gradiska as the news Miss Universe Croatia 2018. Mia competed with 19 other aspirants of the crown and proved herself as the most worthy to represent Croatia on the International stage.

Mia will now represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2018 pageant, where Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters will crown her successor.

Mia is 22 years old and has completed medical-laboratory diagnostics at the Zagreb University Health Care Center. She has been playing the piano for 15 years and has been playing volleyball for 12 years. In her leisure time, she trains in boxing and also loves to sing.

The Top 5 at the event were Mia Pojatina, Danijela Galekovic, Silvana Došen, Suzana Blažanovic, and Zlata Stefanova. Danijela Galekovic was named the 1st runner-up to Mia, and Silvana Došen was awarded the position of the 2nd runner-up.

As soon as the finalists for the title were announced, the title of Miss Photogenic was up for grabs through online voting. By an overwhelming support from the Croatian audiences, Miss Universe Croatia 2018 Mia Pojatina also won the Miss Photogenic title. Another important title, Miss Sympatica, was won by  Silvana Došen.

The guests were entertained by Goran Karan and Jacques Houdek, and the most famous presence at the finale was of Ivana Trump, the former wife of US President Donald Trump.
