The Miss Universe Curaçao organization hosted the coronation ceremony for a new queen on 29th May 2022 where the Top 3 shortlisted delegates competed for the national title and the opportunity to represent the country at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant. At the end of the event, Gabriela Dos Santos was crowned as Miss Universe Curaçao 2022.

Miss Universe Curaçao 2022 Gabriela Dos Santos’ court includes –

First runner-up - Mariana Pietersz

Second runner-up - Andreina Pereira

Santos, who describes herself as, "energetic, sensitive, and positive," enjoys a challenge and can readily fit into a variety of scenarios. Miss Curaçao is a lady who inspires, motivates, and leads, someone who serves in the community and pushes people to not only believe in themselves but also to pursue their greatest ambitions, according to Gabriela.

“I cannot be other than what I am. I am not perfect, but I am myself. I have a true passion for helping and understanding others. I am empowered, I am brave, I face my fears and I’m, always ready to learn,” she shared. Apart from pageantry, she is also the founder of ‘Light4Change’ foundation which is a non-profit organization dedicated towards awareness and prevention of cyber-bullying.

The diva succeeds Miss Universe Curaçao 2021 Shariëngela Cijntje, who represented the country at Miss Universe 2021 but unfortunately remained unplaced. Gabriela will represent the country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held later this year, where the reigning Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.
