The Miss Universe Organization has asked the national franchises to designate their first runner-up for representing their respective countries at the 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020 due to the recent coronavirus pandemic. Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa will crown her successor by the end of the event finale.
Franchesca Astier who participated in Miss Dominican Republic 2019 and was adjudged as the runner-up is legible to represent Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2020. She went onto represent Dominican Republic at Reina Hisapnoamericana 2019 and was placed at Top 11 of the competition.
Franchesca is 21-years-old and stands 170cm tall. Franchesca is beautiful, confident and strong headed woman who wants to represent her country at an international level. She was honoured to represent Dominican Republic at Reina Hisapnoamericana 2019 and we are certain that if she gets selected to represent Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2020, she will be a strong contender for the title.

She had performed gracefully at Miss Dominican Republic 2019 competition as well as Reina Hisapnoamericana 2019.
