Aya Abdelrazik is the official representative for Egypt at Miss Universe 2020 and has succeeded Miss Universe Egypt 2019 Diana Hamed who was stripped off her title due to breach of agreement in the month of July 2020 and Aya took over her crown duties as she was adjudged as the first runner-up at Miss Universe Egypt 2019 competition. She is excited to represent Egypt at Miss Universe 2020.
Aya is 23-years-old and stands 165 cm tall and is a medical student and an aspiring actress who feels honoured and blessed to have the opportunity to represent her country at Miss Universe 2020. She feels that being a representative of a country is both honour and responsibility. She added, “I’m aware that the younger generation considers us as role models and they look up to whatever we are doing. I saw this already when I attended the Gouna Film Festival and some cute little girls came to say hi and asked for a picture. I felt we were noticed, seen, and looked up to. I aspire to be a good example for the beauty queens and prove that we are not mannequins; we are as wholesome as this title deserves.”
The diva is inspired by her mother and consider her as her role model and explains that it is because she is aware that she had to go through in order to raise the diva into a person she is today. Aya sees success as an endless journey and explains that a hard-working student’s mindset is the key to success. She further added, “I believe we should be always grateful but never satisfied with whatever we achieve. The more we are eager to learn new things in our lives, the more we open more doors that might lead us to new places.”
Aya has been balancing her crown duties after she was announced Miss Universe Egypt with her studies and take it as a challenge to ace both with proper time management. Aya showcased immense confidence and determination as the first runner-up who was later announced to take over the crown duties as the representative of the country and is expected to perform her best on-stage and make the people of Egypt proud.
The diva aspires to establish a non-profit hospital organization that tours all around Egypt and helps in the health care process of those who can’t afford it. Her vision is to build a healthy community capable of functioning effectively in different fields. She is focused, determined, and confident with her preparation.
