Germany debuted its win at Universe pageant in 1961 when Marlene Schmidt won the Miss Universe 1961 crown. Since then, the country has sent stunning and talented beauty queens who have made a name for themselves and their country. Unfortunately, the country has not won Miss Universe crown since the win six-decades ago.

Moreover, Germany has just won Miss International 2022 crown under Jasmin Selberg’s delegation. With her win, the country is now hopeful to bring the Miss Universe 2022 crown under Soraya Kohlmann’ delegation.

Soraya Kohlmann was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2022 at the finale of the 13th edition of the national pageant on Saturday night, i.e. 2nd July 2022 at the Holiday Inn Hotel Düsseldorf-Neuss, Neuss, Germany. Soraya is 24 years of age and stands 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Soraya Kohlmann was born and raised in Leipzig. She now has her own beauty/cosmetic salon and work and also works as a model and Pilates trainer. Soraya is also interested in spreading awareness about how we as humans can conserve the resources on our planet and about how we can improve our health through proper nutrition.

Not new to the pageantry, Soraya represented Leipzig at Miss Saxony 2016 and won the title. She represented Saxony at Miss Germany 2017 and competed against 19 other candidates at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany and won the title Miss Germany 2017. With her experience and her stunning beauty along with the preparations that she is doing for the upcoming Miss Universe, Soraya could be breaking her country’s pageant-drought at Miss Universe after six decades.
