Following one’s dreams is the “In” thing these days and Maria Wilkes is one such example in front of us. Maria Wilkes heading for the Miss Universe Title by quitting her job to pursue her dreams

She just left her job as a language teacher at the elite Channing School in Highgate, North London to fulfill her dreams. She is a true charmer and is not afraid to make her dreams change into reality. She said in an interview- “I’m leaving teaching out of choice, but only for the time being.” What an inspiration for all the girls out there who at a corner of their hearts wish to chase their dreams.

She is basically from Venezuela and made this surprising announcement on Twitter and Instagram and gave a reason to the world to be connected with their dreams and not to stop dreaming. On the other hand, some of the people are not happy with the decision this gorgeous teacher took. One of the mums was annoyed and said, “I think that a teacher especially in an all girls school has a certain responsibility to be a good role model and I am not sure I would be happy about the message this could be sending if I had a daughter at the school.”

On the other hand, this pretty woman is not at all affected by the statements but is rather happy. She said, “This is my first beauty pageant and I am honored to have been chosen as a finalist.”

“Teaching French and Spanish at an all-girls school have allowed me to deliver my insights and love of other cultures to young women and give them the confidence and the ability to communicate in multiple languages.

“I am already Miss Wilkes, but it would be my dream to become Miss Universe Great Britain.”

But as a true believer of chasing one’s dreams, we believe that the decision is great and there is nothing wrong in making them a part of life. Another supporter said, “As long as she’s a good teacher and kind who cares! More important is how they treat the children this is what the children will remember not whether she chooses to be a model.”
