Miss Universe Iceland 2022 Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir is currently in New Orleans attending all the events and activities along with the rehearsals before the finale night beckons in a week. Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir has revealed the national costume that she will be showcasing at the national costume competition designed by Kirsten Regalado.

Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir’s costume is titled, ‘Your Future, Your Choice’. Iceland is a global leader focused on improving and conserving the environment. Did you know over 99% of all electricity in Iceland is produced using renewable energy sources? In 2022, Iceland was named one of the top 20 cleanest countries in the world.

As a global community Iceland is seeing the devastating impacts of climate change and global warming. We all bear a personal responsibility to stop the environmental decline in the areas we live, eat, work and play in. This is the inspiration behind Hrafnhildur’s costume.

The National Costume Competition will be held on 12th January 2022 which will be available to watch on Miss Universe YouTube Channel, JKN 18 Youtube & FB. The finale will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023 where Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
