Miss Universe 2022 has officially begun and the delegates from all over the world are preparing to compete at the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans, Louisiana. However, there are a few delegates who have shown immense potential even if they have not made it the seasoned hot picks lists for the crown. While not so ‘popular’, these delegates have an immense amount of confidence, perseverance, and dedication to perform well on the finale night and win placements at Miss Universe 2022.

Dark Horse candidates are those candidates about whom little is known but who unexpectedly wins or succeeds. In a series of features, lets know more about the Top 10 ‘Dark horse’ delegates of Miss Universe 2022.

 

 

Leah Ashmore, representing Paraguay, has impressed everyone ever since she has arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana. Standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, Ashmore is a sight to behold with her blonde hair and stunning beauty. Fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Guarani, Leah is talented and a strong orator.

A marketing and communications professional, Leah is not new to the pageant world, Leah was crowned Miss Grand Paraguay 2017 at Centro Paraguayo Japonés in Asuncion. Winning the national crown, she represented Paraguay at Miss Grand International 2017 and competed against 76 other candidates at Vinpearl Convention Center in Phú Quoc, Vietnam. She finished in the Top 20.

 

 

With her strong experience and a strong representation until now, Leah has now started to emerge as a strong delegate for Miss Universe 2022 crown. Paraguay is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe. The highest placement was held by Nadia Tamara Ferreira in 2021.

Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, is all set to be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
