Miss Universe Indonesia 2020 Ayu Maulida has begun her journey to the 69th Miss Universe as she flew off to USA a few hours ago. The stunning diva will make her first stop in New York and then reach the official venue in Florida.
The Puteri Indonesia organization announced her departure and wished her a safe flight as they wrote, “Our beloved Miss Universe Indonesia 2020 Rr. Ayu Maulida Putri goes to Florida, USA for the 69th Miss Universe. Let us support her to give the best for Indonesia!”
Ayu was accompanied by her Puteri sisters Miss International Indonesia 2020 Putu Ayu Saraswati and Miss Supranational Indonesia 2020 Jihane Almira Chedid as they sent her off to Miss Universe 2020 at Soekarno Hatta International Airport.
Ayu Maulida is 23 years of age and stands 179 cm tall. The stunning beauty also holds the title of 2019 Asia Model Festival and Face of Asia 2019. She is also fluent and confident in her answers on the stage. She holds a Bachelors in Law from Airlangga University. As for her advocacy, she teaches in rural areas on healthy living and entrepreneurship training.
In her recent press conference, Ayu thanked everyone for supporting her platform, ‘Smiling Village’, and shared that she started this advocacy in 2017 with her friends for people in rural areas because they don’t have chances like us and we who have the power and a chance to do something well should help them. Ayu lastly added that she hopes that her advocacy can be an example for the people all over the world to do something good for people who don’t have the privileges like us.
Miss Universe 2020 will be held on 16th May 2021 in Hollywood, Florida. The delegates will be staying at the Hotel Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida, USA. Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
