The 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020 is going to be held on 16th May 2021 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, USA where delegates from all over the world will compete for the crown. The winner will succeed Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa for the title. The competition will be hosted by Mario Lopez and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo.

The gorgeous delegates from all over the world have begun their journey at Miss Universe 2020 and a few of the beauty queens have already begun with their mandatory quarantine period before arriving in Florida. As Miss Universe 2020 approaches, pageant fanatics believe that under Miss Universe Brazil 2020 Julia Gama, Miss Universe Argentina 2020 Alina Luz Akselrad, and Miss Universe Peru 2020 Janick Maceta’s delegation, one of these South American countries could be winning the Miss Universe 2020 crown, breaking a drought of many years.

Brazil won the last Miss Universe crown 53 years ago when Martha Vasconcellos was crowned Miss Universe 1968, whereas Argentina won the crown 59 years ago when Norma Nolan was crowned Miss Universe 1962. Peru won the first and last crown 64 years ago when Gladys Zender was crowned in 1957. Since then, the national organizations have been trying their best to crown/appoint a representative who could bring the crown home and end the ‘crown drought’ for the country.
