Tonkham Phonchanheuang crowned Miss Universe Laos 2021

The Miss Universe Laos organization hosted the 3rd edition of the national pageant on 31st October 2021, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed for the crown and an opportunity to represent the country at the upcoming Miss Universe 2021 pageant. At the end of the event, Jenny Tonkham Phonchanheuang was crowned as the new queen as she succeeded Miss Universe Laos 2020 Christina Lasasimma for the title.

26 years-old Jenny stands 176 cm tall and is pursuing a graduate level degree at the University’s International Finance and Accounting faculty. Jenny often helps society to distribute food to the Community Foundation of shared water to the poor - people begging on the street, split into nutrients dry doctors during outbreaks of disease Clovis 19 and also volunteers to help victims of natural disasters in the past and receive the Thailand Digital Award for Outstanding Actress in Digital Empowerment in 2020.

 

 

After being crowned as the new queen, she took to her social media to share, “Thank you for all the encouragement given by everyone, the positive energy of the people given is the energy to give Jane the strength to fight every day, making this woman pursue her dreams and finally succeed.”

Not new to pageantry, Jenny was appointed as Miss World Laos 2017 and debuted for the country at the Miss World 2017 pageant, where she finished unplaced. She also stepped into the entertainment industry with magazine, travel, style shooting ads and commercial contracts.

“Lastly, I would like to give my whole hearted Thank You to The Miss Universe Laos Organization, the pageant judges, and the MUL team for seeing my potential and the true value in me to dedicate my dream of being in the Miss Universe pageant. I feel very monumental in this time of my life. I promise that I will take care of the responsibilities of my title and do all of my best as this woman can do,” Jenny added.

 

 

Jenny will now start preparing for her international stint at Miss Universe 2021. Miss Universe 2021 will be the 70th Miss Universe pageant, to be held on December 12, 2021 in Eilat, Israel. Andrea Meza of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
