The finalists of the 2017 Miss Universe Malaysia has started their endeavour in the world of pageantry to win another title that will give them the right to make their country proud at a global platform. The finale of the beauty pageant is scheduled to be held at 23rd February 2017 and Karshini Ghanesh, one of the 18 finalists competing this time, is all set to represent her province and win the crown. Karshini Ghanesh, who hails from the Johor Bahru at the Johor province in Malaysia, is participating at the 54th edition of the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant. She wants to win the pageant with her hard work, strong will power, and utmost dedication. The beauty is a medical student and is finishing her studies to become a clinical geneticist. She aspires to be a surgeon one day.

The beauty is a great fan of good music and loves to not only listen but also play musical instruments such as veena and piano. Karshini is also a trained classical dancer. She also loves contemporary and modern dance styles. Dancing to her is not only a hobby but a lifestyle. She keeps herself fit and her mind relaxed with this art. To her, dance helps to express her emotions and thoughts.

Besides dancing, she also composes songs. Apart from an interest in music and dance, the stunning contestant gives tuitions to kids. She also volunteers for a number of charities as she wants to advocate and raise awareness on genetic disorders. The beauty is overwhelmed to see children with disorders and wants to help them by finding a cure.
