Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma revealed her national costume for Miss Universe 2020 a few hours ago through her social media. The costume is an ode to the mountaineers, which was Anshika’s theme, designed and conceptualized by designer Bina Ghale. Anshika wrote, “I wanted to do something that had never been done before, take the pride of Nepal to the Universe.”

The Miss Universe Nepal organization also took to their social media to disclose the costume as they wrote, “Every year, the world visits Nepal for its mountains. This year, we take the mountains to the world!” Anshika can be seen donning a mountaineering suit adorned with jewels and hiking gears.

The costume’s most attractive elements are the Tibetan prayer flags, used to bless the surrounding countryside and for other purposes and the very majestic Mount Everest painting, showcasing the lordly crown of the country. This costume is dedicated to climbers who try their luck to conquer the mountain which is known as the highest mountain in the world regardless of whether or not the climbers reach the top.

This is a dedication to mankind who must overcome the mind and the limits to climb to the top of the highest mountain in the world. It's not everyone who finishes in the middle of discouragement, but if you don't get discouraged, if you have hope, you can go to the top of the world.

With desire to lift others, she looked for the opportunity and got connected with like-minded people to form a group and initiate scholarship programs for underprivileged children in Nepal. Anshika is an advocate for education and sincerely believes that education can change the world.

She believes that children, no matter what background they come from, need to be provided with education to improve their quality of life, economy and thus the future of the country. She also strongly believes that the hope of a nation lies in proper education of its youth as the children will get opportunity to learn and manifest their dreams. Her advocacy is to lead these dreamers and create opportunity for them to be the leaders of tomorrow.

With her determination and preparation as Miss Universe Nepal 2020, Nepal will definitely be a strong country at Miss Universe 2020 and might as well pioneer its win at the international platform.

Miss Universe 2020 will host the National Costume competition on 13th May 2021 with a live broadcast. Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma will represent Nepal at the 69th edition of Miss Universe on 16th May 2021 in the United States.
