Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 Thuzar Wint Lwin confirmed that she will compete in Miss Universe 2020 through her social media. Her participation in Miss Universe 2020 was conveyed in the upload of a series of portraits to coincide with her leaving for the United States.

She captioned the post, indicating the confirmation, as, “A Miss Universe is a woman who paves her own way and achieves her dreams, overcoming the obstacles that await along the journey. So Here I Come.” Miss Universe Myanmar Organization also extended their support as they wrote, “Wait for the revival of the Phoenix, Universe! I am coming!" Good luck, Candy!”

The enthusiasm of Thuzar joining Miss Universe 2020 was also confirmed by the organization through its official Instagram account. They wrote, "Myanmar returns to MU (Miss Universe) Miss Universe Myanmar 2020, Thuzar Wint Lwin has left for Hollywood, Florida, USA to take part in the 69th Miss Universe Competition at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.”

Previously, a few weeks ago she was hit by the issue of resigning due to the impact of a military coup in her country. Earlier, Candy participated in protests demanding the release of leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The protests happening in Myanmar caught the world's attention as the leader of Myanmar's National Alliance for Democracy Party Chairman Aung San Suu Kyi was arrested by a group of coups.

Extremely angry and protesting people, including Candy Thuzar, took to the streets in demand for democracy. Being a true beauty queen, Candy demanded the release of Mrs. Aung, despite the possibility that she might be stripped of her title for participating in things related to politics. In Myanmar, a Miss Universe representative has weight and position in society as the diva’s words represents a whole class of women.

Some speculation surrounded the issue of the withdrawal of Miss Universe Myanmar 2020 from Miss Universe 2020, given the heated conditions of Myanmar due to the military coup. In addition, Thuzar was quite active in voicing the resistance of the military to take over the power of the civilian government through a coup.

Fighting against all odds, Candy is now ready to take over the Miss Universe stage radiating an irresistible charm with a seductive, mature, and sharp style, as she confirmed her arrival in USA with a story she posted from Los Angeles airport at her social media handle. She is considered as one of the strongest contenders for the title and believes that with hard work and determination, she’ll be able to impress everyone and make the people of Myanmar proud by winning the title. We wish her all the strength and best wishes to shine at the pageant
