“This year for the National Costume, we go back to our roots and take inspiration from earthy elements, incorporating ethnic symbolism from Nepal’s 'Himal’, ‘Pahad’, and ‘Terai’,” Sujita shared. The 'tree branch' headpiece symbolizes the balance that humans need to with nature. Sujita's outfit is made from sustainable non-violent silk, whereas, the jewelry adorned are from different ethnicities of Nepal. The theme depicts the simplistic lifestyle that dominates Nepali heritage, one that was and is very much connected to Mother Nature.

Stepping into the shoes of Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma, who performed exceptionally well at the last edition and was highly appreciated throughout her journey, Sujita is no less as she has been emerging as one fo the strongest bets for the title this year.

Along with her own dreams, she hopes to inspire the dreams of individuals across the nation through her initiative ‘Liberated’, an organization dedicated to empower women who are socially and financially bound from reaching their potential.
