At the recently concluded finale of Miss Nederland 2017 (Miss Universe Netherlands 2017) held at Studio 21, Media Parkboulevard in Hilversum, Netherlands, Nicky Opheij has been crowned as the winner, and will now represent Netherlands in Miss Universe 2017 contest to be held on 26th November 2017 in Las Vegas, USA.
She succeeds and was crowned by the beautiful and talented Miss Nederland 2016 Zoey Ivory. Nicky, who has earlier won the Holland's Next Top Model contest in 2014, bested 10 other beauties competing for the title to win the crown at the finale.
The highlight of the finale was a spectacular dance performance by Zoey Ivory, who won the 'Dance Dance Dance Nederland 2017' competition just two days before the finale of Miss Nederland 2017. Zoey who represented Netherlands in Miss Universe 2016, though did not win the crown, but gained fame for her dancing to Beyoncé's Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It), especially in the Philippines.
Remaining finalists were Romy Lucassen, Deborah van Hemert, Farrieda Smit, Ireda Nijboer Rondei, Romy Meijer, Denise Veerman, Laura Benschop, Germaine Peels, Chantal van Dalen and Naomi Lucia Bouwmeester.
