Rachel Peters has finally arrived home in Manila, Philippines after her failed attempt at Miss Universe 2017. She landed at 5:35 am at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, coming back from Las Vegas, USA.Just before leaving for Manila, she shared a happy caption on her Instagram which said, “Excited to be heading home to Manila tonight!!! Future is just so bright!”
On her arrival, she expressed her positive feelings, “So to all the fans, to everyone, to all the Filipinos thank you so much. You know, as I've said, we didn’t bring home the crown but it was a wonderful experience for me and it was amazing to know that I had all of your support all the way and it means so much to me. Thank you so much. I love you guys.”
She also didn’t forget to show her happiness for Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, the winner of Miss Universe 2017.
A lot happened after Rachel’s defeat in Miss Universe 2017. First, a video came out of her crying just after her loss. Then she was seen enjoying a pizza party with her family to celebrate her participation in the competition. Her loss also resulted in a social media explosion, where people were downright livid for not selecting her in Top 5 finalists. Her frenzy followers didn’t leave Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach also, one of the judges of the finale night. They called her unfair in her decision, while also calling her insecure.
Rachel is expected to take some well-deserved break and have some quiet time with family and closed ones. It would a great time for the queen after the hectic schedule of the competition. We all are excited to see what Rachel has in store for us next!
