Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Elsa Sally Schumacher has made it to the Top 50 at the national competition representing Batanes. The 25-years-old is articulate and intellectual. She is considered to be the dark horse of the pageant this year.

She was born in United States of America and completed her graduation from University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Elsa loves spending time in nature and is especially fond of water bodies. One can find her onlooking the shore or the sky on a good day, as she is an Aviation science major.

The officials of Miss Universe Philippines revealed it wasn’t easy to choose the Top 50 as the competition has been cut-throat this year. Voltaire Tayag, MUPh Director of Communications said, “The MUPh Organization and other panelists interviewed the pre-screened applicants for two days. Arriving at a Top 50 wasn’t an easy task as each one needed to have a unanimous or majority vote. Several well-known queens screened but there are also numerous newbies that pageant watchers will delight in getting to know as well.”

Shamcey Supsup-Lee, National Director of MUPH is proud of this year’s batch. She said, “We are extremely happy with our Top 50 Official Delegates. I know that as the challenges progress, the pageant fans will see how special and strong this year’s batch of delegates are. Accomplished, articulate, beautiful and very relatable women will charm. Proving why Miss Universe Philippines is the country’s most coveted crown.”
