Miss Universe Philippines 2022, the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines, will be held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.

Nicole Suan Mendiola has made it to Top 50 at the national competition representing Northern Samar. Nicole, who hails from the town of Allen, recently graduated from UP Diliman with a civil engineering degree. As a woman in a male-dominated industry, she feels strongly about women empowerment and gender equality.

Nicole hopes to advocate for these causes through the Miss Universe Philippines platform. From August 2020 to July 2021, she was the president of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers. In 2020, Mendiola joined PRM Construction and Development as a corporate secretary and a few months later, she was promoted as a project management associate.

 Nicole calls herself dynamic and versatile as she quotes, “A Civil Engineer, a Corporate Analyst, and now on to be the next Miss Universe Philippines. ‘Jack of all trades master of none’ is an often-misunderstood line that fails to encapsulate the essence of what it wants to convey. It omits the part ‘but oftentimes better than a master of one’ and that is who I am.”

“Graduated from the University of the Philippines, part of 8 organizations and student council representing different advocacies and venturing into the corporate finance industry. That is me and I am not yet done. I’m always on the drive to do more and be more. I hope you could support me in this journey of being the Miss Universe Philippines - Northern Samar”, she adds.

For Nicole, it is only just the beginning as she wishes to promote her advocacy through her reign. With her sincerity and dedication, the stunning beauty will definitely be a strong performer at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 this year.
