Celeste Cortesi, former Miss Universe Philippines, is ready to bid goodbye to the pageantry as she spoke about her true passion which is acting. She said so in the media conference of the ‘Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis’ sitcom in which she stars.

“Ayaw ko na sa beauty pageant, I’m done with beauty pageants. Tapos na ako roon. As of now, I wouldn’t do it again (pageantry). I know it’s not for me. Finally, I have something I can work at, [and] that’s acting”, she said.

Celeste rose to fame in the pageant world when she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022 at the finale of the national pageant held on 30th April 2022 at the Mall of Asia Arena. She represented Philippines at Miss Universe 2022 but remained unplaced.

Cortesi is of Italian-Filipino descent. Celeste was born in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on 15th December 2022. Her father is Italian while her mother Maria Luisa Rabimbi is from Philippines and is of Filipino, Spanish and Chinese descent. Celeste fluently speaks Italian, Filipino and English.
