With Miss Universe Organization allowing the National Directors to appoint the last year’s runner-up as the representative for the country at Miss Universe 2020 following the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, there are rumours circulating that Venezuela might appoint the delegate as well. The decision is a wise one because there wont be any time for the countries to organize a national pageant and prepare a new girl for the international pageant.

If this stands true, then Melissa Jiménez Guevara will be representing Venezuela at Miss Universe 2020 and the pageant fanatics are more than happy with this decision. Being adjudged the first runner-up, Melissa was also crowned Miss International Venezuela 2019 and at 20 years of age, she represented her country in Miss International 2019.

A student of Nutrition and diet, Melissa is a woman of strong character along with being a stunning beauty queen. She does not have just strong physical attributes, but is also a quintessential beauty who has proven that conventional beauty standards dont apply on her. Standing 174 cm tall, Melissa can definitely a strong contender for the crown with her slender and tall frame which can her stand out at the swimsuit round. She is also a gymnast, model and a life coach.

At Miss International 2019 last year, Melissa represented Venezuela with sincerity and dedication and placed in the top 15 during the finale. Melissa also won the best in Evening Gown award at the finale. With her experience of representing Venezuela an international platform, this will also be advantageous for Melissa if she participates in Miss Universe this year.

Even though Melissa was a debutant when she participated in Miss Venezuela 2019 last year, she has proven her worth in the pageantry with her sincerity and hard work. She was also a crowd favourite at the national contest last year as everyone wished for her to represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2019. Maybe this dream will come true this year if Miss Venezuela organization decides to take this step. In our opinion, she sure is ready to take on this responsibility.
