The Miss Venezuela organization announced a few days ago, that the 70th edition of the national pageant i.e. Miss Venezuela 2021 will be held on October 28th, 2021 starting at 7:00 pm, broadcasted live on the Venevisión channel. This year’s edition will be held broadcast live on the Venevisión channel.

Venezuela’s pride, Mariem Claret Velazco Miss International 2018 recently took to her social media to make a special announcement as they confirmed she will be hosting the coronation night of Miss Venezuela 2021. This will be the second time that Mariem will be hosting the most prestigious pageant in Venezuela, a country that has produced the most number of Miss International winners to date.

Sharing the news with her followers, she wrote, “Looking forward to the most beautiful night of the year Animate the Miss Venezuela! Wow. The first time as a guest, my nerves made me think I couldn't. The second, take that adrenaline to give my best. And today, I am excited for many reasons to be part of the most beautiful night of the year but the main one is to imagine how happy my dad is from heaven with this news. Thank you for your messages of love! See you in October.”

22 years-old Mariem was born and raised in San Tomé, Venezuela and is currently studying Geophysical Engineering. She rose to fame when she won the title of Miss Venezuela 2017 and moved on to secure the top spot for the country at Miss International 2018. Interestingly, the Vanezuelan beauty won both her Miss Venezuela and Miss International titles on her actual birthday.

The winner of the gala this year, will be chosen by designation of the Beauty Committee, including Nina Sicilia, Jacqueline Aguilera and María Gabriela Isler and will succeed Miss Venezuela 2020 Mariángel Villasmil Arteaga, who represented Venezuela at Miss Universe 2020 but unfortunately couldn’t make it to the Top 21.

In the meantime, wishing the queen good luck on her hosting stint. Congratulations!
